I have been researching vintage mid century designs for some time and when time allows me I like to do 3D models of them, this helps me to think through their construction and learn from what the designers have done.
Jindřich Halabala was a Czech designer, and I really like the lines he has followed in his armrest design.
His H-269 chair features beautiful bentwood frame, it was designed and produced in 1930's. I think the design is simple but draws the attention. I see many people re-upholster them with modern fabrics giving them another life.
I wanted to have a lamp in this scene and modelled this Art Deco floor lamp, which is another Halabala's design from 1930's.
The sideboard is from 1940's, it features rounded edges, tapered, angled legs and chess pattern on walnut veneer
I like to research mid century furniture on the Vinterior.co;
more Halabala's chairs can be seen on this website: https://www.vinterior.co/furniture/seating/designer/jindrich-halabala
Art featured on the wall is by Alphonse Mucha, another great Czech artist http://www.muchafoundation.org/en
