Art Deco

I have been looking for Art Deco furniture inspirations and chest of the drawers made by Schmieg, Hungate and Kotzian featured in the book "Art Deco" by Judith Miller is one of my favourites.

The picture featured in the book is the only record of this furniture that I have found so far so I have taken few guesses in order to create 3D model.

I have mirrored the image and researched typical dimensions of units with 3 drawers.

The mirrored photograph served as a reference for outlining the stand and proportioning drawers correctly.

This is just a little example of what can be achieved with even a little photograph when right research is done. I can now confidently do a reinterpretation of this beautiful furniture.
